Springfield 7s Tournament A great weekend was had by Berkshire at the Eric White Memorial Sevens Tourney at Springfield MA. Bolstering the line up for Berkshire where Steve "DooDoo" Bilodeau, Brandon "Bunny" Navom, "Physcho" Mike Harmon, The Plankster, "Superstar" Mike Dean, Jon Schnauber, Colli, Tony "PacMan" Panetti and James Berkshire played Old Gold in the first match and played a great 1st half trailing by 10-5 margin with a nice pick n feed from DooDoo to Colli. Unfortuneatley Berkshires lack of experience showed in the second half as Old Gold rolled to the victory. Berkshires next two games were against two of the toughest teams in the Bracket. Albany 2 and eventual champion The NETS (New England touring side). Despite losses to both teams, Berkshire was able to continue to improve their style of 7's play with sureing up the defense and playing more together. This improvement was shown in the final game of the day against Host Springfield 2 (whichhanded Berkshire a bitter last second loss at last years tourney). Berkshire was able to jump out to a early lead when the 3man pack of Doo Doo, Bunny & Schnauber were able to steal a put by Springfield which allowed Colli to sneak one around the corner for the try. DooDoo then had a nice finish to make it 10-0 Berkshire. The tide began to change though as after a series of penalties against Berkshire. Schnauber was sin binned for a "Professsional" foul of not back 10. Springfield capitalized scoring right away, making it 10-5 just before half Bunny was able to steal a low tossed line out and score down the sideline to make it 15-5 at the half. Springfield came out and scored right away, with Berk still playing a man down. Berkshire answered right back with a great run from "Physco" Mike to "Superstar" Dean who had an amazing offload as he was falling to his back to a bursting Colli who scored. Bilodeau
